Alabama House Joins Convention of States Movement

Red Millennial

The Alabama House has approved a resolution applying for a convention of states under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, making it the ninth legislative house to pass this resolution in 2015.

The resolution, which was adopted by a voice vote, calls for a convention “for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and limit the terms of office for officials of the federal government.”

Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, states can call a convention to propose amendments to the Constitution if two-thirds of the states (34) pass similar applications. Georgia, Florida, and Alaska ratified this resolution last year, and at least 25 states will consider the Convention of States Project resolution this year.

Alabama State Rep. Ken Johnson was the primary sponsor of this legislation. In regards to the resolution, Johnson said, “Our…

Red Millennial

Ambassador Chris Stevens, Dohetry, Woods, and Smith were killed in a terrorist attack on 9/11/12.
Ambassador Chris Stevens, Dohetry, Woods, and Smith were killed in a terrorist attack on 9/11/12.

On September 11, 2012, the eleventh anniversary of the deadliest act of terrorism in American history, another terrorist attack on American soil occurred. The event happened under cover of darkness in Benghazi, Libya, a very unstable region of the world. Our consulate was attacked, and four American diplomats were murdered, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. It was the first time in about 40 years that a US ambassador had been killed.

Although testimony has been given on the terrorist attack and the coverup that followed, there are still many questions. Yesterday it was revealed that the Obama Administration has sworn the survivors to secrecy, probably around 30 Americans in total.

So what do we know about the Benghazi terror attacks?

Rand Paul Turns Tables on the Leftist Media

Red Millennial

Rand Paul refused to do either. The media repeatedly asked him if he supported exceptions for abortion in the extremely rare cases wherein there is rape or incest. Paul said he has supported legislation with and without the exceptions, but that the better question is when the Democrat Party says life begins.

Rand Paul answered the question with a question: “You go back and ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she’s okay with killing a seven pound baby not yet born yet. Go ask her when life begins and when she’s willing to protect life. When you get an answer from Debbie, come back to me.”

Just as Paul…
