Dan Bongino, who is a former New York police officer, injected some common sense perspectives into the ongoing situation in Ferguson, MO, involving rioting and local police response.
“There’s nothing that inspires liberty about trying to take someone else’s liberty and their property,” he said. “The minute you cause harm to someone else or break into someone’s business, you haven’t respected anyone else’s civil rights either.”
Following the shooting of Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer on August 9, riots have plagued the town on a nightly basis. Dozens of local businesses have suffered break-ins, property damage, and robberies.
“If there’s one thing the American people hate and deserve protection from, it’s chaos,” said Bongino, who was a top Secret Service agent under Presidents Bush and Obama and organized several foreign trips in hostile environments.
