Fugitive and former CIA spy Edward Snowden has released another set of documents which reveal that the NSA is collecting millions of photos every day from the internet for its facial recognition programs.
The images are allegedly taken from social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, e-mails, video communications like Skype and FaceTime, and even text messages. Of the millions of photos that are stored, it is estimated that about 55,000 of those are deemed suitable for the NSA’s facial recognition software on a daily basis.
